| The 1-year-old program continues much of what children learn in the infant program - motor skills, signing and the like. But we also begin to mix in things like color and letter recognition and more group related activities and crafts that are often themed to fit the season. In the 1-year-old room students will experience more group singing and other activities that are designed to encourage the development of social skills. The Building Blocks staff creates activities that encourage students to interact with their peers and begin to develop relationships with other children. Circle time and activity center time are also regular features in the 1-year-old room, as we prep students for more and more pre-school like activities. Lunch, snacks and outdoor activities are also part of the normal day. For more information, contact Building Blocks Academy today.
