3-year-olds at Building Blocks Academy are placed in a variety of hands-on learning scenarios that are designed to prepare them for eventually pre-K and Kindergarten activities.

Activities are again themed and are designed to help further develop essential skills and confidence traits that your child will need going forward. Activities can focus on language, math, science, motor skills, social development and much more.

The 3-year-old room continues a lot of what was started in the 2-year-old room: large motor skill development, pre-school preparation, social interaction and outdoor activities. Part-time programming is available from 8:45am - 12noon.

"Handwriting Without Tears," is slowly introduced in the 3-year-old room, in order to get students ready for its full implementation in the pre-K levels that they'll eventually move up into. Songs and other learning friendly activities remain part of the regular repertoire.

As with all of our programs, everything falls into line with the Delaware Early Learning Foundations Curriculum, and students are constantly being assessed and prepared for their continuing education.
